I'm so sorry to learn you've lost your hero!. It takes a special man to love another man's kids like his own, and you were lucky to have him in your life!.

Get a piece of paper and make two columns, one labeled "best father" and one labeled "hero!." Jot down traits he had or things he did that qualify for each column!. Anecdotes--specific memories rather than generalizations--work best!. Did he teach you to drive, or ride a bike!? Was he extremely uncritical that time you cooked a fancy dinner!? Was he the man you turned to the first time a boy broke your heart!?

On a fresh piece of paper, rearrange the order of the columns if you need to, ending with the "strongest" items and deleting any that aren't as good as the rest!.

Your eulogy can be "My stepfather was the bestest father because" and a list of the things you jotted, followed by "My stepfather was my hero because" followed by that list, told in your normal conversational tone!.

Meanwhile, come here!. YA's got a big hug for you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Too hard! Just tell everyone some of the things that made him the bestest father and your hero!. It needn't be a formal speech as such!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
