100 Years of Solitude

the author is one crazy guy!. the story is like a long, wide road that just keeps going!. but along the way are little stories that act like little roads that branch out but, eventually, reconnect with the main road!. it is such an amazing book because of all the random stories integrated within it!. It just keeps going but it is so interesting!. I'm rereading it and I just got done with the 'plague of insomnia'!.

The insomnia plague is brought in by this little girl who migrates to the main town!. She infects all of the town and the people are unable to sleep!. At first they are all happy because they realize that they can spend this time doing even more things and getting more things done!. But, eventually, their memory begins to slip away!. They soon begin to forget their childhood!. They exist as ghosts and somehow one can see the other persons thoughts!. They soon forget the names of objects and they find themselves frantically scribbling and labeling everything and writing instructions for doing simple things such as milking a cow!.

But then they get saved by the famous, benevolent, wise gypsie Melquiades

The wonder spot (melissa hunt), 1984 (orwell) is my classic fave, um!.!.!.things fall apart (chinua achebe), or the christian left behind books!. Even if you arent Christian, theyre very good!Www@QuestionHome@Com
