Question: Hate Harry potter books!? who agrees!?
I just want people's opinions!.!.!.!.

I really didn't like the Harry Potter series!. It had the same cycle through out all the books

-everyone loves harry
-he does something (good or bad)
-then everyone turns against him
-then he does something heroic
-everyone loves him again
-then he does something again (again, good or bad)
-everyone hates him
-he does something heroic again
-everyone loves him

and it just keeps going and going and going!.!.!.!.!.!.!.

who else agrees!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
I hate harry and love EDWARD!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I used to hate Harry Potter before because I've only seen the movies and was annoyed with some of the actors, but finally I gave in and tried reading the books!.

THEY'RE SO AMAZING, seriously!. There's virtually no boring page!. There are so many twists in the plot and great suspense, that it's really fun to read!. And there are characters that you just come to love, like Sirius!!

I can relate to Harry b/c I've met people like the Dursleys and other horrid people, and there are those like Hagrid or Dumbledore that you wish you had for parental figures!. It's not just for kids - it really is a timeless classic, and very well-written!. And I love the romance that slowly but beautifully develops between Harry and Ginny!!! (as you can see I'm obsessed, lol)!.

EDIT:

also the thing that makes HP unique from other fantasy series is that JK Rowling actually planned and outlined the whole thing before writing them down, so she knew where the story was going and where it would end!. Unlike Twilight, it's as if Stephenie Meyer just randomly wrote things in the later sequels just because she could!. I found Eclipse for instance to be messy and rushed!. But I heard The Host was good so I'll still check that out!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I *very* strongly disagree with you, but I know that yelling at you would not change your opinion and would just make you hate me!. I personally love the books, because I love the comedy (Luna Lovegood is one of my favorite fictional characters EVER!!!) and the fact that there is always a sort of mystery towards it!. I mean, during chamber of secrets, only 2 people knew who the heir of Slytherin was and Harry wasn't one of them, and then in Goblet of Fire, Harry was wondering who put his name in the Goblet!. There is also the romance!. There was (and still is) a debate on whether Harry loves Hermione or Ginny (or even Luna!.)

So, I am not asking you to love the books, but I do request these two things of you!.
1!. Read the books again with an open mind towards the things my fellow Potter fans and I have said and
2!. DON'T POST HATE QUESTIONS ON ANSWERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think the predictability of the books is why people like them!. I myself love them, and I definitely think it is due to the fact that there are small twists and turns, but for the most part everything I want to happen happens!. That is the nature of the HP series, and that is why people love them!. It is good to read a clear good vs!. evil book every once in a while where the good triumphs!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Strongly disagree, but I do respect your opinion!. I love Harry Potter, and felt they were in-depth and original and!.!.!.generally totally awesome!. I do see your point with a possible cycle, but I guess it's just a cycle that I love!. Plus, I don't really think it's a very obvious one, just a base for all the details!. I would guess from your name that you're a Twilight fan!? I like Twilight, but it's rather odd - Twilight is sort of like a drug for me - I get "addicted," go on a Twilight high, and then calm down!. Eventually, I go back for more!. Harry Potter just meant more to me, somehow!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I can't agree, but I respect your opinion!. It does seem that each book (other than the seventh) kind of follows a sort of pattern, but that's because each book starts out at the beginning of the school year, I suppose!.
I absolutely love Harry Potter and everything to do with it, but again, that's just my opinion!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yeah, I agree!. Apart from that in the books, they make me fall asleep VERY quickly!.
I don't understand why everyone loves him so much! He's just a guy in a fantasy place that 'casts spells'!. Geesh!.
Although, if people loves him and that floats their boat, I can't really argue with them, it's their choice after all!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That's what happens with any story!.
The rise and fall of the hero---like with Spider-Man and Super-Man---one minute everyone loves them, the next they hate them!.
Hermione is the true, unsung heroine of the HP series!Www@QuestionHome@Com

yeah, i thought each had the same feel to it, like you were rereading the same thing over and over, but with different problems and words of wisdom from dumbledork!.!.!. doreWww@QuestionHome@Com

I love the books, guess that was an exciting cycle for me!
They are the books that made me love reading!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yea!. I read the books!. They weren't that good!. And he always is doing something to make people mad!. Ugh!. I just didnt't like them that much!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't hate them, but after a while they did get very old!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I've always thought that everyone was pretty neutral towards him!. I mean at school, it's not as if he has a fan club!. It's just his two friends and then the weird Creevey siblings who worship him, but that's really it!.!.!.!.

Yeah, people turn against him but it's because they're afraid of either him or the truth!. In Chamber of Secrets, there was good evidence that he was the heir of Slytherin!. So naturally, everyone turned against him!. Wouldn't you if you thought he was on a killing spree!? And in Order of the Phoenix, everyone was too afraid to admit that Voldy could be back!. Wouldn't you be!? Those are pretty much the only two times everyone's hated him!. No one's really loved him like you say!. Of course he does heroic things, he's the hero of the story!. He's The Harry Potter!.

If you're trying to say it's basically predictable, you're kind of right!. But that doesn't mean it's not a good story!.

Edit: And plus, almost every story is predictable!. Twilight is predictable!. You know Bella will be turned!. Gemma Doyle is predictable!. You know she's going to win!. Good almost always triumphs, and you can usually tell when it will before it happens!. I understand what you're saying, and I agree with Why So Serious; it's probably because something new happens every year that it seems so cyclic, but!.!.!. I don't know, it doesn't really bother me!.

Second Edit: I have a problem with D!.A!.'s Biggest Fan's answer!. I don't think this is a hate question!. You're allowed to express your opinion, and it's not as if you were rude!. And you don't have to reread the books! I hate when people tell me to reread a book I've already decided I don't like with an open mind!. What, am I reading the book and making myself not like it!? What!? If you dislike a book, you dislike a book!. I don't have to read a book twice to figure it out!. (Twilighters have told me to reread Twilight, which I hate with a passion!. I'm not going to reread it!. I already decided I don't like it!. So I know where you're coming from!. And I respect your opinion!)Www@QuestionHome@Com
