Question: Which of these do you think is the most popular children's author!?
1) Roald Dahl

2) Enid Blyton

3) JK Rowling

Umm, according to me, I guess CURRENTLY JK Rowling is the most famous and before here there was Roald Dahl!. But Blyton was the number one author for children over a span of 40 years!. I am so confused now, lol!.

What do you think!? Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, if you just consider sales, JK Rowling beats the other two hollow!.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone sold 17 million copies in the United States and close to 70 million worldwide, and this is just the first book in a series of 7 that only gathered steam as it completed!. She still has not explored all the co-branding and merchandising opportunities out there!.
You will never find Enid Blyton characters in stores selling as toys, unfortunately enough!.
I also think that a lot of Enid Blyton's books (like Famous Five) wouldn't translate to today's children!. The stories are dated, and the books are out of print!. Strangely enough, even in her heyday, it seems to have been popular only in the British colonies, commonwealth and the UK!. Most U!.S!. natives have not heard of Enid Blyton, even those who are in an age group that is old enough to have read her!.

I would agree that currently JK Rowling is, even though I've never read any of her books!.
People just know who she is whether they're a fan or not
Second I would say Roald Dahl I used to love his poems and books
I think I've probably read most if not all of his work!.
I really like him!.
I can't say anything about number two Enid Blython because I have no clue who that is
maybe I'll look him though, I feel like I've missed out on childhood now that you'd think he should be considered one of the most popular children's author when I've never even heard of him

JK Rowling's book inspired millions of readers!. On the day after her books would hit the stores, children & adults everywhere would have their noses buried in her books!. Any author who can turn the tv off for millions & get them to read is really doing something right!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
