The author of Twilight, Stephenie Meyer just this summer had an incident where someone she trusted with a draft copy of her fifth book published it on the internet - and essentially ruined everything!. She suspended writing on the book and it will now not be published!. If it can happen to a popular author protected by publishing and copyright laws, then it can happen to you!. Complete it, register it with the WGA and then "workshop" it with a face-to-face writers group!. Novel and short story ideas aren't as susceptible to being stolen, but this is still not a good place to post it because you don't know who is reading it!. How do you know that any of us knows what we're talking about when we give you feedback!? Again, a face-to-face writers group is your best bet!.
