I have to do a book report on this book "Ruby in the smoke" and does anyone know a free study guide i can use!?

if there isn't one, i need to know more about ah ling, the main conflict in this book, and the main events!.

Okay well, Ah Ling was a Dutch-Chinese man (his real name is Hendrick Van Eeden) who was part of the secret society (The Seven Blessings), and pirate I guess, who would intercept ships carrying opium from India to steal it!. (I think) that he caused the ship Sally's father was on to sink!.
At the end of the book he is asking Sally to join him and she shoots him!.

The conflict is that her father dies mysteriously so she has to find out why!. During the course of the book she finds out that Mrs!. Holland wants a ruby that Sally's father's best friend gave her when her father died!. So Mrs!. Holland just pretty much makes things hard for Sally and her friends!. Ah Ling doesn't actually show up until the VERY end like the last couple chapters, although the Seven Blessings were mentioned a lot through the book!.
