Question: What Edgar Allan Poe poem is this!?
Well today in school we watched a REALLY old movie for Halloween!. It was based on a Edgar Allan Poe poem, and it was really creepy!.

It was about a man who was taking care of the old man, and the old man had a blind eye or some kind of eye defect!. It scared the young man so much he went insane, (OK, so maybe he was already insane LOL), and decided to kill the old man by suffocating him!. He decides to bury the old man under the house boards, and he was bragging about how smart he was for doing that!. When investigators come to the house, the young man's guilty conscience takes over him!. He starts to feel like he's getting sick and eventually like passes out on the floor!. also, there's this weird cat walking in slow-mo!. LOL

It was very creepy, and I loved it heheheh!. Anyone know what story this is by Edgar Allan Poe!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think you're thinking of "The Telltale Heart," which is one of Poe's short stories!. The relationship is not clear between the narrator of the story and the old man he's supposed to be caring for!. He murders the old guy, cuts him up and hides the bits under the floorboards!. His guilt gets the better of him and he thinks he hears the dead man's heartbeat beneath the floor!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Gah! It's the "Tell Tale Heart"!!!!!!! Such an awesome short story!. He feels sick because he thinks he can hear the old man with the creepy eye's heart beating under the floor-boards!. He thinks it is so loud that the investigators can hear it!. In fact, scholars suspect that he is hearing his own heart or his own conscience pounding in his head!. Some suspect that his fear of being caught and his pride in the murder he commits actually kills him (not passing out)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

My absolute favorite by Poe: The Tell-Tale Heart!. I read it for the first time when I was 12!. I'm 59 now and have never forgotten it!.
