Question: The story night by elie wiesel (need help)!?
1!.The others try to encourage Mrs!. Sch?chter by saying things such as “You’ll see, you’ll find your husband and sons again…In a few days…” Why do people comfort her with sayings that are not true!? What does this reveal about human nature!?

1!. Elie Wiesel said: “I only know that without this testimony, my life as a writer—or my life, period—would not have become what it is: that of a witness who believes he has a moral obligation to try to prevent the enemy from enjoying one last victory by allowing his crimes to be erased from human memory!.”
Why is there a moral element to this “remembering”!?

The first one probably has to do with hope!. Even if things are terrible and we know it we can't help clinging to straws, hoping for miracles!. Even though Mrs!. Schachter won't see her husband, the people who comfort her don't want to take her hope away from her!. They want to leave her something to live for and believe in!. They don't want to be the cause of her misery when she finds out what happened to him!. They wouldn't be able to live with that weight on their consciences!.

Now, you try the second one!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
