Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: picked,yes!. bought,maybe not!. i'm a girl,teenager,of course attracted to girly,bright,funky cover!. but i would definitely read the synopsis or whatever on the back of the book and decide if its a good book!. if it's not,i won't buy it!. so i've definitely PICKED UP a book based on the cover, but never bought it without thinking twice and flip through it a bit!. =)Www@QuestionHome@Com Yes, the first thing I look for when Im browsing the book store is the cover!. If the cover appeals to me, I read the description on the back and maybe a few pages in the first chapter!. I can usually tell if I am going to like that book!. Im kinda picky on the types of books I read!. Www@QuestionHome@Com All the time!. I hate boring book covers unless the title is eye-catching!. Blurbs are also important, but they can be evil at times and make you buy a boring book about teenage angst and wanting to be a movie star!.Www@QuestionHome@Com That's usually how I pick out my romance novels!. But I don't pick it just because it has a nice cover!.
