Nah, they're just rumors, don't worry! They claim they're going to stick to the book almost exactly throughout the film, and killing Harry off would change Rowling's message so completely that she wouldn't let them get away with it!. She still has a heavy say in the script, and I can pretty much guarantee you that that won't happen!.

At this point, I don't believe they've even written the second script yet (the book will be split into two films, so technically you're talking about the eighth Harry Potter film), or at least haven't finished it just yet!. They're in preproduction for the first half of the book now!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, of course they're not!. J!.K!. Rowling has a lot of say over the movies, and since she's stuck by her guns so far it's unlikely she'd let anyone make a change that drastic!. That's assuming anyone would want to, and I can't see why they would - it would amount to a kick in the face to fans that have supported the franchise for no good reason, and also end a series of films that are largely aimed at kids & teens with the death of the good-guy hero - when was the last time you saw that happen!?
