Question: What's your opinion on Orwell's view in Animal Farm!?
I just got done reading Animal Farm for my class, and i was wondering if you thought him to be objective or subjective!. I'm kinda caught in between the two!. With whatever you think, I'd like an example of why you think that :) Oh, and this is not a homework question, im done with the assignment already :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think it's subjective!. This is the same guy who wrote 1984, which is all about "Big Brother is watching you" and brainwashing, etc!. This is a person who obviously didn't care for what he saw happening during and the events leading up to WW2, and he wanted to point out the gullibility of the average man and also the tyrannical tendencies of anyone given too much power!. I'm sure you've learned in class already on who the three main pigs are supposed to be, Marx, Lenin, and Trotsky!. I think if he were being objective, he would've selected some other animal (pigs are intellegent but known for being dirty) and he wouldn't have made the pigs, mainly Napoleon, so despicable!. I mean, Snowball's good, but he gets run off!. also, Napoleon is a good descriptor in itself, b/c it gives you the idea of a power-hungry land-grabbing person thanks to Mr!. Bonaparte!. I didn't have to read this book for any class, I read it for fun, and I found it really interesting!. Hope you enjoyed it, too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think he is more on the objective side!. However, he did label Stalin as a pig, but in retrospect, he was exactly that!. I believe Orwell only stated the facts with his allegory!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's subjective!. It is Orwell's allegory!. He is getting people to open their eyes to his opinion of politics and human nature!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
