Question: Do I write a completely different story for my creative writing class!?
Unfortunately, our instructor is in the hospital and most likely wont be returning for the second round of our writer's workshop so I cant ask her opinion!. We meet once a week and next week I have a story due!. I've started a few different story ideas but they seem to be similiar in theme or style to my first short story so I stop!. How important is it to write a different story and to experiment with style!? I feel like its wrong to be too similiar but Im in this mindset right now thats hard to shake!. Any advice!? yes, i think you should explore writing about completely different ideas!. if you can't seem to move away from your first idea, there are things you can do to get inspired: get out and eavesdrop on strangers, talk about story ideas with other writers, whatever you can get!. good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Try writing outside of your comfort zone!. If you prefer one genre, try one that is completely different!. You might find another genre that you do really well in!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

you can write about whatever the crap you want to!. Just try to have different characters and different actions!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
