Very hard!.

1) Takes some people a short time, others months if not years!.
2) Just the money to print a hard copy of the manuscript and to mail it!. Real agents\publishers will NOT charge money, ever!.
3) Get a copy of the Writers' Market and read the sections dealing on your genre, and submit according to their guidelines!.
4) Yes, that's an agent's job!. <3Www@QuestionHome@Com

1!. It depends!. It's mostly luck, after all!.

2!. If it costs anything, you're being ripped off!.

3!. It's VERY HARD!. (It's almost impossible to find a publisher without one, though!.) It's not at all uncommon for rejection letters to mount into the double digits!. J!.K!. Rowling, an author who has made a billion dollars off of her series and writes material of pretty good quality, was rejected by almost every agent and publisher in Great Britain!. Many classics were rejected upwards of forty times!. Because again, it's mostly luck!.

4!. I believe they at least help you find one, yes!.

If you want to find an agent or publisher that specializes in your genre/topic, I'd suggest picking up the latest edition of Writer's Market!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

it is extremely difficult to find an agent!.(a good, legit one, at least!.) First, an agent should NEVER NEVER charge you money, (reading fees, etc!.) If they want money!.!.!.run as fast as you can!. Second, make sure your manuscript, whatever, is as absolutely polished as it can possibly be!. and then polish it again!. once you are lucky enough to sign with an agent, they find the publisher that is right for your project!. Keep your chin up, don't get discouraged!. I heard JK Rowling (the woman who wrote Harry Potter,) got turned down by something like 48 agents/publishers before she finally got one to take a gamble on her!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I recommend the book How I Write by author Janet Evanovich!. She writes all about the publishing process and goes over agents and topics like that!. Get it from your library or you can buy it at this link:
