Question: Anyone familiar with literary elements!?
I'm reading Les Miserables for english and we have to write down quotes, and half of them have to be literary elements
I have a couple quotes where i'm not sure if they are literary elements or not!?

"To re-enter into hell and there become an angel"

"Both had wings, one like an angel, one like a goose,"

"No paradise becomes terestrial at the period by which we live,"

Any of those work!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm not all that sure what you mean by 'literary elements!.' What comes to mind is literary devices like narrative techniques, diction, metaphor, satire, etc!. (there are loads more)

If this is the case, then the second one is a simile!. I can't think of anything for the first one, unless you provide the context!. It could be part of a conceit, or extended metaphor!. It could be construed as a literary allusion to the bible!.

The third one is at best a social commentary, but it's difficult to get an idea of what it means without a context!.

One thing!.!.!.you have roused my curiosity to read the book :) Thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

So what do the other half have to be!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
