Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: To allow for more creativity and not face legal issue it would be best to make one up but have it in NEw York City!.Many authors make up neighborhoods and other places in cities!.You could use a real place but then it could be possible for the owners of the place you select may get upset!.You can always ask the owners or the people who will be publishing your book which would be the best choice!.Www@QuestionHome@Com you should try writing a rough draft (like beginning few chapters) about each idea!. then see which one you can come up with one idea for!. if you choose to make one up !.!. make sure you go into ALOT of detail and maybe be like its the MARRIOT of ohio!. or something like that!. so you give an easily identifiable mental picture to go along with your made up hotel :) hopee i helped!. &goodl uck with your story ! i definitely would like toread it!. lolWww@QuestionHome@Com if you use a real hotel, its best to use one that you know about!. It pulls a person out of the story if they are reading something, and they see, ex: the marriott and think hey, wait a minute!.!.!.i've been there and they don't have that!.!.!.
