Question: Switching into an AP class!?
hello :) i bascally wanted to know if i would be better off staying in a regular english 3 class or switching into AP english!.

to start of, whenever its a "B" day and i'm in english, all i want to do is bash my head into the wall!. my class in super super slow!. we do very low vocabulary and then we have SSR (Slient time reading basicly)!. I think even if i switched teachers i would still be disapointent at some point in the year!.

I have been considering switching into to AP english since last year!. But due to personal things i have not!. it is a very sad dissapointment to me and i'll admit i have the feeling of jealous when other people talk about their AP english class!.

so basically!.!.!.what would i epexct by switching into an AP english class!?

and if there are any AP classes that have really helped people in college and outside the school world!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

The thing I love most socially about taking AP classes is that the PEOPLE are different--they actually want to be in there and get a good grade, do well, etc, so they don't goof off, whatever they say makes sense, usually if you do a group thing everyone will contribute, and altogether it's just a lot more interesting!.

With English, academically, I like taking AP because we learn a truckload more stuff!. It not only looks better in a college transcript, it also really prepares you for college-style writing!. You'll never really go anywhere if you don't learn to write well!. I know that sounds harsh, but think about job applications, what kind of job you want to do, etc!. I suppose if you're going into a technical field it's not really as drastic, but basically anywhere else, you'll need to know how to impress people with your writing and organize your thoughts into neat little words on a paper!. If the teacher is any good, you might not be having "fun" exactly (the homework pretty much takes care of any fun that might otherwise have been cultivated from the experience) but you'll definitely enjoy it more!. I know that being stuck in a regular class for me not only feels like a waste of time, not to mention never meeting anyone very interesting or that I can respect, but I also feel kind of like I'm sluggishly wading through this pool of icky much--time passes so slowly (speaking of which, unless you're a history buff, NEVER take AP history!. Ever!. Really!.)!. You get a lot more interesting assignments, but beware: tons of homework!. Literally!. Reading, essays, research projects, literature, vocab quizzes, etc!. The list goes on!.!.!.and on!.!.!.!.and on!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.and---well, you get what I mean!. Good luck choosing! :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Although they teach the same stuff in AP English as they do in regular English, they go into way further detail and explore more of the under-the-surface type questions!. Other than that, it seriously is basically a bit more essays, way more reading, and a lot more homework!. But trust me, if you are smart enough to be in the class, it will not be that much harder!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
