Everyone is taking this a little to seriously!.

When it comes to books, people, food, movies etc etc there will ALWAYS be an opinion!. We can have opinions but that doesn't give anyone the excuse to bash things!. Meyer worked very hard to write these books, and she knew some people would either love 'em, or hate 'em!. If you worked really hard on something would you like it if people said how much they hated it!? But people don't need to tear these books apart! You simply don't like them!. Leave it at that! This isn't rocket science!

I am a big fan, though I accept maybe there were flaws!. It doesn't mean they were horrible books!.

And as for the abusive thing, yes Edward possibly took things a little over board with Bella!. (It's just a book, folks!. Y'all seem to forget this a lot!.) But in his protective relationship do you really ever see Bella object!? Yes she gets mad but she LETS IT GO!
Only when it came to seeing Jacob she put her foot down, but can you blame Edward!? He doesn't want to lose the love of his life!. Would you!?

Everyone needs to take a chill pill!.
The fans need to maybe quiet down a little but the haters, if you dislike the book so much than why are you in the Books and Authors sections looking for a fight!? Pick your battles!

And yeah people say they're going to marry Edward!. People also say they're going to marry Bam Margera, or the Jonas brothers, the list could go on!. But they know they're not really ever going to marry any of them!. They're just having fun!. You guys just look at anything to get pissed off at!. Let people enjoy their dreams and fantasies or a good laugh/joke, because it's not your problem!

I have no choice NOT to pay attention to freaking twilight on this site!. seriously, use the search bar and look up the word twilight!. a question about twlight is asked at least 20 times a day if not more!. people have "i <3 edward cullen" as their screen name!. anyone asks for actuall GOOD books to read (similar to faulkner or actual GOOD authors) and theres some 12 year old screaming about OMG! READ TWILIGHT!!. its in EVERY section practicly!. you cant avoid it! it slaps me in the face every time i come on yahoo answers, even if i dont go anywhere near the books section!.

I don't hate Twilight, nor the people who like it!. In fact, one of my good friends is really into the series!. I always keep an open mind about other people's opinions and views!.

There are a lot of people who are very immature and naive about literature, on both sides of the party!. One day you'll get a complete idiot who dedicates nothing but their own opinon as to why Twilight is bad, and on another day, you'll get someone who really likes Twilight, but is completely illegible and unclear (often expressed with nothing but "!!!!! EDWARD!!!"!. I think you get my point!.

The only reason I post in some Twilight-Fan Discussions on here, is being they're simply that!. They're ranting, gloating, or chatting about Twilight--which is indeed against the rules!. It's quite annoying when you're trying to help out other people who actually have literature questions and you keep seeing "TWWIIIIILLLIIIGHT"!.

I do think it's pathetic that people are constantly being Anti-Twilight, but I think it's even more pathetic when the people who like Twilight can't accept an honest opinion about the book!. As someone who has had many years reading and writing, I thought Twilight was poorly written!. And, that not saying I will burn everyone who likes it!. It's my opinion on it, and everyone is different!.

Edit: Nah, I don't think you're pathetic, that wasn't aimed at you, but at the people who are very, very close-minded!. Since when is literature supposed to be that way!? I mean, sure, some books are very controversial, but people shouldn't hate each other for it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, I just didn't like it!. I got about 100 pages in and didn't want to finish it because I found it extremely boring and Bella way too whiny!. I didn't like it, a lot of people did!. Whatever, that just says something about preference!.

But some Twilight fans turn into very strange people when it comes to the book!.

My animosity for it grew when my friends, who loved the books, railed on me constantly for not liking it!. They told me to leave some of their conversations!. If I mention on answers that I didn't like it, some people respond: WhAt u HaTeR!?!?!?!? U dOn'T No nOtHinG!!!!!?!?!?!?!?!?!? HOW COuld U N ot Lyk it!?!?!?!?

And it kinda weirds me out that all of my female peers are swooning constantly over edward!. I mean, that REALLY weirds me out!. I'm not saying its weird to have a crush on a fictional character, that's one thing!. I've had crushes on characters in books!. But I've met some people who seriously question their self-worth and literally pine over whether or not Edward Cullen would like them!. *sigh* Having read the series, I can tell you, Edward is emotionally (and at times borderline-physically) abusive!.

Believe me, I’ve “been there” in my life; been through the same sort of stuff and there’s nothing romantic or justifiable about the stuff Edward does!. Personally I am appalled to think that young women out there might think that a guy treating them the way Edward treats Bella is being “a little overprotective”!. I pray they don’t have to experience firsthand how awful a relationship like that can be!.

As for the twilight vs!. anti-twilight issue; as others have said, this site allows people to speak their minds on such matters!. There is nothing wrong with people criticizing a book, or liking it!. Eveyone has an opinion!. Some people like the book and some hate it!. I for one hate the Twilight series and yes i have read them!. I see so many people with Twilight usernames, whats wrong with a username saying anti Twilight!? You said that everyone has their own opinion so a person that has anti twilight in their username is just expressing their opinion!. Edward Cullen is abusive!. He has all the characteristics that make up an abusive boyfriend!. Let me give you some examples: when Bella wanted to see Jacob, Edward told her no and made Alice hold her hostage, He even broke Bella's car so that she couldn't go see him!. also he stalks her and used to watch Bella in her sleep without her knowing it!. He also left Bella and took her gifts from her room and then came back in to her life like nothing happened!. He didn't even give her the right reason for leaving!. When Bella tries to say something, Edward jumps in, either interupts her or ignores her!. Edward is a thief, an abuser, and a stalker!. He controlls Bella's life, makes all her decisions for her and over protects her like shes going to die any second!. I know that there are crazy vampires trying to kill her but give Bella some space! I don't care if people like the book but i hate the fact that they obsess over it, obsess over Edward Cullen even though he is a fictional character and compare it to the classics and so many other books!.

Would YOU want a 108 year old vampire ripping the engine off of your car just because he thinks that you shouldn't be with a very dear friend that you want to hang out with!? Would you also let that boyfriend's family member kidnap you on HIS own request!? You think about it!.

On the opinion thing, everybody has a voice, so they use it on their own accord!. You can't stop their freedom of speech, because there will always be a side that disagrees with you!. If everybody just loved the book, that would be unrealistic!. Besides, Twilight isn't the best thing that's ever happened to the world of literature so the relentless questions about Twilight are getting ridiculous!. I mean, I read the series but I just couldn't get myself into it!. Why!? Because I realized it wasn't my taste!. Nice summary, but poor plot!. First, let me say I don't like twilight!. I'm not in the target audience and I don't really care for Meyer's writing!. I would let it drop at that, but every time I get on this section of answers to ask any question, I get at least four references to how twilight is the greatest thing ever!. You ask the haters to stop, then maybe the twilighters should stop putting their opinion in every question as well!. I mean when I ask for an author similar to Kurt Vonnegut and Joseph Heller, I don't want to see "OMG READ TWILIGHT!!!!!!"!.

My other concern is the repetitive questions that are asked multiple times everyday!. If you do a search and type in "team edward team jacob", you come up with hundreds of the exact same question!. If you just want input from your fellow twilight fans, then go join a fansite and you won't have to deal with all the haters!.

Basically, if twilighters were to stop assuming that everyone loves the series, we would all probably get along!. I know that others as well as myself are sick of seeing it exalted as the greatest book ever, when in comparison to celebrated novels it withers and dies!. Maybe there are a hundred million books in this world!. Amongst them are some really great ones and for someone with interest in literature, writing, etc!. (the target audience of this YA section) it is nice to hear about a great range of books!. To discover, to learn, you name it!.

Twilight might be great, I don't know, I don't care!. When I see the way Twilight readers act on YA it takes away all my desire to even try it!.

I would greatly appreciate if YA would be less about four of the hundred million books that are out there, and a bit more about the other 99,999,996 books!. So please stop mentioning Twilight all the time! Do a search or go to a fan site to tell how much you like the series, but stop annoying other people unless you have a unique, new, surprising question!.

Until then, whenever I see "which is the best book ever" answered with "Twilight" I'll give it a thumbs down!.

Well I don't hate the books (I consider myself a Twi-bird: a cross between a twilighter and an anti) but I don't like Edward and Bella's relationship!.

The main abuse takes place in eclipse!. Abuse isn't just physical!. Controlling behavior is also abuse!. In Eclipse Edward disassembles Bella's engine and bribes his sister to kidnap her!. You could say that he apologizes for these acts!. His apology does not make it OK although everyone does make mistakes!.

Now Edward's behavior really annoys me but Bella's reaction annoys me even more!. She forgives him both times before he can even apologize!. When she "sneaks out" to see Jacob she apologizes to him! First of all "sneaking out" shouldn't apply to doing something that he boyfriend doesn't want her to! Even when he kidnaps her she apologizes to him for going to meet Jacob!.

also in Eclipse he forges her signature on the Dartmouthh application!. She clearly states that she does not want to go to Dartmoth yet he disregards her opinion!. He does this several times throughout the series!. In Twilight she doesn't want him to carry her to the nurse and she doesn't want to ride in his car!. Both incidents are extremely dangerous due to his lust for her blood!. In Midnight Sun he admits that she could have driven home by herself- he just couldn't let her go!. This is unhealthy behavior!. Later in Twilight he takes her to prom against her will!. She has made it clear that she hates dances but he doesn't listen to her!. When she starts crying he is anoyed!. He is anoyed that she is crying when it is his fault she is crying in the first place! The fact that she wound up enjoying herself is irrelevent!. In New Moon she says she doesn't want a birthday party!. He disregards her wishes!. And what happens!? His brother almost kills her and Edward leaves her and they both act like pathetic morons for I don't know how long!.

Finally I'm going to adress Edward watching Bella sleep !. He has been watching her sleep without her knowledge or consent before they were even friends!. Imagine if you woke up and some guy you barly knew was watching you sleep!. This is also extremely dangerous and once again due to his lust for her blood she could be easily killed!. He is being very selfish; not to mention creepy here!. In Midnight Sun when talking about it he says "She doesn't know" as if that excues it!. This behavior is considered stalking and is not only creepy and selfish but is illegal! Yes when Bella finds out she's flattered but he doesn't know that she would be flattered!. I expect to have privacy when I sleep and I don't believe that's asking too much out of guys I don't know!.

So basically that's why I don't like Edward and Bella's relationship!. But hey- each to her own! As I like to say one girl's sweetie is another girl's stalker!. (It could work the other way around too!.) Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's just an opinion, personally i love Twilight! Everyone i know loves it too, don't listen to them!. I think that Twilight is the most beautiful book!. If they don't like it, that's their problem!. They're missing out on alot! :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
