This is such a difficult choice!.
Firstly, I honestly don't think you can compare the two!. Yes I have read both series and loved it!. Harry Potter is more on the Magical/Fantasy/Adventure/Action/Drama category while as Twilight is more of a Romance/Action sort of thing!. The big difference here is the romance!. This is coming from my opinion so you might disagree with me!. I wasn't too fond of the couples in the HP series!. Ron/Hermione and Harry/Ginny!.!.!. just not right for me!. Harry/Hermione, that's a whole different story lol!. Even J!.K!. Rowling herself said she didn't write romance that well!.
I'm going to have to say Harry Potter!. Not because I've been a HP fan longer but because of the way they're written!. That's not to say Stephenie Meyer isn't a good writer!. I just think Harry Potter has a bit more depth in them!. The books can be interpreted and looked at in so many different views!. Hence, the shipping wars!.
The Twilight series are written in Bella's POV ( Midnight Sun, Twilight in Edwards POV, is coming out soon I believe) so you can only tell and feel how she's feeling!. Don't get me wrong, that fact has a lot to do with my liking of the books!.

Harry Potter!. It's a pretty good series!. Not the best by any stretch of the imagination, but not horrible!.

Twilight has no redeeming qualities whatsoever!. It's poorly written, it's got no character depth, no originality, and it appeals only to young girls who wish they had a sparkly vampire or a dashing young werewolf to call their own, and it makes them feel intelligent for reading!. Which is sad, because Twilight probably lowers literacy levels!.

EDIT: It's cute, because I typed this before I read the comments that exactly confirm what I said!. It's not that Harry Potter doesn't make sense!. It's a child's book!. It's not Harry, it's you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Twilight is the BEST love story written, it is also the best book around!!!

Harry Potter just repeats its self over and over again!. Harry makes a friend, harry goes through troubles, harry fight voldamore, harry barley wins, harry loses his friend!. Repeat, Repeat, Repeat!.

Twilight is like on giant story, in continues itself!. Its be far the better than Harry Potter Books!.
Harry Potter has more fans though, because it was written for a much wider range of people!. Still, I cant understand how and why people get hooked on harry potter, ew!

I have only read "Twilight", but comparing that book to the 7 of the "Harry Potter" series, I enjoy Meyer's book much better!. I am the type of person that enjoys a little romance in books, and the way that Edward and Bella care for each other is so deep it makes me want to jump inside the novel and actually BE Bella!. I haven't read the other books (waiting in line at the library!.!.!.) but I really can't wait to read them!. All throughout "Twilight", I kept saying, just bite her already, Edward! :o) I loved the book and wait wait for "Breaking Dawn"! Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think both have their strong points and weaknesses!. Both are amazing series done by very talented writers!. However, both of them suffered from the writer losing inspiration in some points!. I've read the whole Harry Potter series and felt it was pretty awesome, but it did have some parts where you just want the writer to move on and quit talking about the same thing!. Twilight did the same thing!. There were just parts in the story that DRAGGED so bad and then it picked up again!. Honestly, I am reading Breaking Dawn right now and am not too impressed!. It's a little farfetched!. So based on that, I'd say Harry Potter is an overall better series!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would have to day Twilight!. Twilight actually makes sense, and is easy to follow!. I don't understand Harry Potter it is sooooo confusing! Plus i am a die-hard twilight fan, so i'd have to choose twilight anyway! =]Www@QuestionHome@Com
