Question: NanoWriMo and livejournal questions!!?
I was thinking of signing up for NanoWriMo (where you write a 50,000 word novel in november) because I'd really love to be write more and I think this would be a good way to help me just - get to it

But -

I'm seventeen, and school is pretty stressful/crazy and will continue to be so - should I just join anyway, even if I may not actually finish!?

And I was also thinking of joining livejournal to post some random writing when I feel the need, rather than having a blog-friendish-type thing

Any insight!?

thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I participated for the first time last year!. I didn't finish due to stress for too long a period of time (I'm also in marching band and had had very little sleep in Oct due to competitions)!. But I had a great time doing it!. Even if you don't think you'll finish, sign up!. It's a lot of fun!. Most areas even do local write-ins at local cafes or libraries!. If you have friends participating, you can do word wars (see who can write the most in a given period of time)!.

I'm also 17, senior year of high school!. Way too much stress, but I'm going to try an abridged version of NaNo (20-30k word goal) instead of the full one!. Even though it won't be a 'finished' novel by the site's rules, it'll still be 20-30k more words than I had before!.

And go for the livejournal! Just keep in mind that open blogs can be read by anyone!. But it's always nice to have a place to write writing-rants or to post writing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I just signed up for NaNoWriMo too and I have a pretty busy schedule (this is my first time though)!. I think you should sign up, because even if you don't reach the goal your still getting the experience!. And most people that sign up dont finish!. I think on like 15,000 of 100,000 finished!. Or, you could go to the NaNoWriMo page for people who are 17 and under and there they let you set your own goal!.
I hope this helps!Www@QuestionHome@Com
