Question: How can i get my work heard!? (writing)!?
So yeah, I have a deep passion for writing!.
Poetry, Music and the like!.

I think I am decent,
but I would just like to get it out there a bit more, ya know!?

Here's 2 samples

" The sun begins to rise,
as the darkness just fades away!.
And all the people resume their day,
where they left off before!.

Like an apple fallin',
that never seems to hit the ground,
but just keeps spinning round and round,
'till the end of days!.

So much to do,
too much to see,
we can take a ride,
just a you and me!.
Forget about time and destiny,
wherever the wind the blows,
that's where we'll be!.

Life is a whim,
life is a chance!.
It can start or end,
in just a glance!.
Like love it exists,
just because it can,
we don't really need to understand!."

and a little darker freeform one

another day down
another moment gone
another second wasted
another memory lost
another life has passed
with nothing left to show
never will I fade
like the innocence of the snow
there is so much that could have been
would have been
should have been
but in the end
it will never be
because of me
because of me
I made a choice
followed a path
did my best to never look back
for the worst or the best I will never know
one could only hope
only hope
but no matter how bad the day's end
another day will come
another day will comeWww@QuestionHome@Com

a word of caution about teen ink

their submission guidelines
1- say that all work submitted becomes the property of teen ink, including the right to edit your work without your permission
2 - then says you can submit your work elsewhere with their permission

so, it appears you don't own your work, they can alter it if they feel like it because they own it, but if they allow you to, you can submit it to other places (but they still own it)

I realize the right to edit work is common in many magazines and newspapers because of limited space, but I've seen some real hatchet jobs done to people's work (so bad it sometimes makes the author look like an idiot and they have a hard time overcoming that - and one time the editor actually changed the conclusion of the piece because he disagreed with it)

I would not give up all rights to my work just to see my name in print, especially without getting paid real money (your only "payment" from teen ink is a free copy of the issue your work appears in) and even then, I'd have to give it a lot of thought!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you want to get published you should send your stuff into to Teen Ink, they accept all kinds of work from students and it would be a good first step if you are interested in writing professionally!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think you have a problem with your Metric System!. But that's just my opinion!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
