Question: Inspiration to write - Where does it come from!?
Just wondering, do any other creative writers out there have any ideas on this !?
Is it bits of memories we weave, or themes and flavours, what do YOU think makes the spark that seeds an idea that we just have to get into words!?!?
When I look at a finished story, I think, WHERE did it come from!?
I know to write is a gift, an ability and an expression of creativity - but where do we get it all from - what do you think is the answer!?!?!?

They say that a multitude of authors have some sort of chemical imbalance, I think that's the group I fit into!. In that plane of existence it is almost always crucial to find away to release those thoughts in some way!. The way I do it is through my writing!. The images in my head transform into these lovely pictures for others to see!. The characters are based on some element of me that I feel detached from and can see as its own persona!. The details come from my ability to pick up and retain knowledge that I did not know I had until it manifests on a page!. Writing for me is a release a way of having others join my otherness and embrace it!.
It is a way for me to be isolated from the world that at times becomes to overbearing for me and then at other times helps me to remain an intricate part of it!. As a published author my biggest fear was not having time to write and dealing with the public!. I flourish under the spot light another part of myself takes over and becomes spokesperson and pulls people in and embraces them with my personality!.
I use what I have read as inspiration my desire to do better than some authors and to be as good as my hero authors keeps me striving and improving!. The themes come from the world at large all of those things that I see that few others do!. I color and detail with my memories and the associations of my family and friends and strangers I've met along the way of this road I call life!. I lie and cheat and steal my way through the pages of a manuscript knowing that my true skill lies in my talent to string words together coherently and correctly!. That is the gift that I have given myself!. My creativity is what I was born with but I could have been an actress, or a politician, or a choreographer or a lawyer!. However it was my desire to do something regardless of age that I could do my entire life in which to dispel the images that crowd my mind and at times sequester myself away!.
Some are born with a talent for numbers, others medicine, some have the gift of gab, others are funny even when they aren't trying, some are athletically inclined, others are destined for mediocrity!. I believe that my expression is the thing my creator has given me in exchange for burdening me with a mental health illness!. And I wouldn't change it for the world!.

Writing is definitely a gift, like painting or playing an instrument, or acting!.

Not everbody is born with the soul of a writer, so if you don't have it in you, you just don't!.

I really believe the inspiration comes from your everyday life and experiences!. One trait about writing that separates it from other talents is that to compose a brilliant work, you must have lived and suffered in the world since, essentially, writing IS about humanity!. A little child for example, though blessed with the gift, needs to grow up first and endure life's cruelties and joys to be able to put Truth into words!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I always think that writers must have a very good imagination and interweave these with reality and events/experience in your own life to come up with a different story/slant on things!. They also have the ability to put all this into a written way so as to keep the reader interested enough to read more!.

Very talented people, but then we all are in our own given talents, whatever they may be!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would begin from ones own life story!. The 'bits of memories' you mention is a good starting point!. also I found it helpful to try and not compare my style of composition with that of authors I might admire as 9 times out of 10 I found fault with my 'stuff'!. Dedication and passion combined with a tale to tell cannot in my view be beat as true passion always shines through!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think this the same concept as writing music or painting a picture!. I think you can be inspired from anywhere or anything or anyone!. What I find most interesting is getting an idea from the smallest of things, i!.e!. a crack in a wall, or a feeling you get when you look into someones eyes, but then completely exploit it so you have a finished piece of work, just from a tiny idea!. Writing is a gift that some people have!. It comes to them naturally!. Some can read a book and instantly think of a new thing to write about!. I am one of those people!. Others use their surroundings!. What I think most writers do is start something and when they get bored with it keep it and look back at it later!.

absolutely anywhere! I like to wait until it's a full moon and there are a few stars out!. It clears my mind and enables me to imagine just about anything!. I try to find something that excites me or that I enjoy, and hang around the area with a pen and paper so that I can write down ideas :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I usually get thinking about something interesting or funny or weird that happened during my day, and then I think of how I would tell it to people, and how I could change it to make it more interesting, and then it just evolves!. So I suppose personal experiences fuel my writing!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

If one is lucky enough to find the door to their soul, many wonderful truths lie beneath!. I believe writing is a gift given in previous lives, the tales brought into the life beyond!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It arrives unseen like the wind!. Which is not helpful I know!. I've been writing for years and it just comes!. I can't force it, it just appears!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

all stories come from your imagination of course!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
