Question: A fitting way to end a characters life!?

In my novel, which I may only a little of the ways through, I have created a soldier named Brom, named after a character in Fable!. Well he is sort of a middle aged soldier for the King!. During the Invasion of The Dread King, Brom goes into battle bearing the banner of his King!. Well I haven't yet decided how to kill of Brom and need a good way!. Please keep it semi-gory, I am only fourteen!. I just need a fitting ending to this brave character!. Any ideas!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well if your story is set during the Middle Ages there are countless heroic ways that you can kill off your character!.

1!. He is captured by the enemy kingdom and hanged or decapitated (don't really need to describe the gore) after a lengthy 'heroic' speech!.

2!. He could be stabbed while trying to save another soldier!.

3!. He could have been killed while protecting his king!.

4!. And the one i think would fit best would be for him to be food poisoned at the king's feast after 'winning' the battle!. Poisoned by the enemy as a last act of disobedience!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The bravest way for him to die would be to have him sacrifice himself to protect someone else!. Maybe he could take an arrow for the king!. Of course, a death like this is a bit of a cliche!. You might be better off having him die a more normal or realistic death!. Maybe he dies years after the battle from old age having lost all his friends and loved ones to war!. Or he could die right after the battle; he fights heroically and after the battle is won he drops dead of exhaustion!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

got the perfect one!. his mates are battling around him and brom is tussling/sword fighting with the other teams buggest dude like stupidly massive and in the end it looks like broms gna come out of it but the big dude manages to wrench the standard from broms hands and stab brom through the neck; not completely killing him but its a fatal wound!. then, said big dude stomps brom's face!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Become an author that uses deep meanings!. Don't have him die in battle!. Instead, have him die in a simple way anyone could die, such as a disease (as someone mentioned) or his heart failing or hunger or unknown!. This will show that no matter how strong someone is, they are just like everyone else!.!. having a weak side, even though it is not evident right away!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

My vote goes for someone to, not really drive, but drive a sword through his stomach!. Quick, fast and simple!.
I'm only fourteen too so it's not THAT gory!.
Don't really describe it, just say that someone can up behind up and put a sword through his stomach!. That should work!.

Write your own story, Master!. It won't be nearly as satisfying for you if you don't do your own research and write your own scenes!.
