They see it all the time on TV, hear it on the radio, and if they're visiting the authors' sites, they're probably already reading the books!. If parents are worried about that aspect of their children's lives(which more parents should be) then they just need to step it up and pay attention to what their children are doing and set and actually enforce boundaries!.Www@QuestionHome@Com There is only a pitfall if we don't teach kids how to critically think through such things (a skill that many adults lack)!. Childhood is the time to teach them how to ask the right questions; not to keep them in a bubble!. It's not like "kid world" is all that different from "adult world" anyways, since the division and the sheltering is only incomplete and arbitrary at best!. But can't we do at least a little better than a grocery store Danielle Steele novel!?Www@QuestionHome@Com |
