Chick-lit: The Clique, Gossip Girl, etc!. etc!. 2!. Fantasy: Harry Potter, Twilight, A Great & Terrible Beauty!.!.!. 3!. The angsty stuff: Th1rteen R3asons WhyWww@QuestionHome@Com Well, fantasy is very popular, as Harry Potter and the Twilight series shows!. also, the Twilight series shows that girls are interested in idealistic yet unrealistic female leads that they can place themselves in her spot, and over the top romances!. also, girls are interested in the popular rich girl scene, as Gossip Girl goes to show!. However, if you were writing this to show off your writing skills, honestly, don't go by what's popular!. If you do, as Twilight and the Inheritance series' show, you will be writing purple prose with a flimsy plot and one dimensional characters!. That, apparently, is more accessible to the common teen, who are the ones groveling after these books, making them hit the top of the charts!.Www@QuestionHome@Com i love to read fiction!.!.!. fantasy, crime, romance, family, sci fi, general, comedy etc you should write about something that interests you!. just lay back and dont think about what you want to write!. just have a little daydream and make up a few characters tell them what you want to happen and go from there!. there is no point you writing a book on romance when all you want is the characters to fight and misbehave!. dont ask others for advice just write what you like and what you want! oh and if you remember your dreams they sometimes come up with interesting!.!. !.though bizzare stories lol Www@QuestionHome@Com Right now, I think people are mostly into a softer version of fantasy like Harry Potter and Twilight (even adult readers)!. People right now are looking for something to replace Harry Potter for them!.
