Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Thinly veiled stories of people from your past!. Items in the newspaper or on the news that make you think "what if"!. Writer's Digest books!. They have more than a few on creating writing ideas!. Personal fantasy involving thinly veiled people from your present!. But you could get sued!. Take an old OLD idea and modernize it (like centuries old!. ie Homer's Odyssey became Oh Brother Where Art Thou) Read John Campbell's and Carl Jung and Caroline Myss' books about archetypes!. Place archetypes in modern setting!. Write your own little Million Little Pieces!. Fool Oprah!Www@QuestionHome@Com Do something like, cause and effect, and tie stuff together!. Like: this bad event happened, so this guy did something to stop that, but in stopping that, the guy used something that would make another bad thing happen!. Then, try to add some personal stuff if you like: The guy did not know who was his father, and the bad thing is a bad guy which is his father!. Probably the father tells his side of the story and the main character has an inner conflict!. Cause and effect, relationships, past events, keep those in mind ;D!.Www@QuestionHome@Com me an my group of friends are all writing and have written two books!. the way that we come up with plot ideas is to sometimes think oh something that you like our hate about your life!. then you would come up with a main character!. he/she would be like you!. you would be able to make up a life wheter its in the gladiator days, caveman days, or 7003!. my group all has their own character in my story!. that makes it easier on cominng up with the characters personalities!. also for the plot, there may be a tv show or movie that you like, you could base your story of of that!.
