Question: Tips for a fantasy creature!?
Alright, since I'm starting up a new book that I'm writing I'm trying to think of a fantasy type creature for my characters!. I want them to be able to be human but have like wings or something!. {I don't really want them to have wings it was just an example} I was thinking about maybe werewolves but with certain adjustments but if you have any other ideas please let me know!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Fairies -- Tinkerbell type or the tough Holly Black style
Vampires-- but please dont, its sooooo overused!.
Shapeshifters ( like werewolves but people who turn to animals)
Giants/Trolls/Dwarves--- not so interesting, but still
Mermaids-- who wouldnt love to sing and swim!
Angels
Ghosts
Possesed people or Demons
Undead, like zombies
Orcs
Elves
Hobbits
Elemental people-- people with skills regarding elements, such as power over water wind fire, earth, etc
Magical shapeshifer people-- Like shapeshifters but they can turn into magical creatures like unicorns!
Kelpies/Selkies ( that would be awesome)
People that can turn to plants

Hope that helps you some!Www@QuestionHome@Com

The best thing to do is to read fantasy books (I recommend Lord of the Rings Series or any lores from cultures)!. Try to imagine some of the characters as you read the stories!. Then, you can develop a character from the image you create when you read these books!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Turn to mythology!. Look for at least one creature that fits all the descriptions you want!. If there isn't one - then choose three or so creatures from mythology and combined it into one and name it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
