Question: Is this too controversial to put into a novel!?
I'm writing my first horror novel!. Meanwhile, I've spawned an idea for a second novel!. It's about a viscous serial killer!. I want to know if this sounds scary enough!. I'm doing what Stephen King did and taking more than one idea and combining them together!. For this person, I combined the likes of Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer, and The BTK Killer Dennis Rader !.
Like Ted Bundy, this guy is very charming and manipulative!. He lures his victims into a trap!. This killer makes his victims watch as he kills another!. For example, he'll make his fourth victim watch as he kills his third victim!. He keeps his victims in captivity in his basement by binding and gagging them!. Like Dennis Rader he has fun with them!. He binds them, strangles them until they pass out, and then does it again!. Sometimes he likes to whack off after he kills his victims!. He also lures them in through chatrooms the way Rader did!. Like Jeffrey Dahmer, he dismembers the bodies and stores them in his freezer!. He likes to eat some of his victims!. He keeps certain parts of their bodies as trophies!.
I was going to include one part where he picks up a teenage mom who's hitchhiking!. The mom has a little girl with her!. Maybe he could make the mom watch as he saws the little girl's head off with a butcher knife!. I wasn't too sure whether it should be a little girl or another teenager!. Maybe it could be two young women!. He makes one watch as he saws the other one's head off!. How does that sound!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

That sounds awful, vile, and disturbing!. Nicely done, it would probably give people nightmares!. Perfect!.

it sounds, to be honest, like a story thats been written several times before!.

There is nothing new that hasnt already been explored here, so it really does not have that "controversial" impact that you were hoping for unfortunately!.

I would read it though, but it sounds more like it would be a screen play, rather than a novel, and i guess you would have more success if it was a movie!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i'm sure there's a niche for it somewhere!. horror can get pretty stale, after all!. it's not my personal cup of tea, though!.

do you mean "vicious," or is he made out of ketchup!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

It sounds like a good start!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
