Primarily that he made most of it up, then went on Larry King AND Oprah and lied about it!.

Little things, like spending 3 or 4 hours in jail and then claiming that it was 87 days!.

"The [Smoking Gun] website alleged that Frey had never been incarcerated and that he greatly exaggerated the circumstances of a key arrest detailed in the memoir: hitting a police officer with his car, while heavily intoxicated and high on crack, which led to a violent, profanity-laden melee with multiple officers and an 87-day jail sentence!. In the police report that TSG uncovered, Frey was actually held at a police station for no more than five hours before posting a bond of a few hundred dollars for some minor offenses!. I think it was that a lot of that book was fictional, but written as a memoir!. Then he went on a few talk shows and spoke about it as if it were truth!.

I believe he went on Oprah and apologized to her, but I could be wrong!.

I never read the book, but it sounded interesting!. He should have just published it as fictional!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
