Question: Would this make a good plot for a novel!? !?
I'm interested in starting on a (first) novel, and I have already a plot in my head!. I'm not sure if it would actually make a good plot, though!. And I need suggestions!.

This story is basically about a 13-year-old boy constantly in search of acceptance and love, especially by his parents!. His parents are bosses of big companies, two different companies, and rarely does both of them communicate with the little one nor each other!. Thus, this boy hasn't any one to really talk to at home, other than his housekeeper!. Thus, this thirteen year old attempts many ideas (sometimes scheming ones) to get the attention of his parents!.

This boy attends a certain gathering every week, and that is the only place where he gets the acceptance and love he wants!. Then, something happens and this group gets disbanded!. Contact is lost with everyone, especially his closest friend!.

The parents are also on the verge of divorce now - due to lack of communication, work problems, etc!.

The child is forced to choose one of them to follow!. He is given a period of time to consider before his parents sign the divorce papers - which this teenager attempts to salvage the lost years of love amongst the whole family and bring the family together!.

Through the many ordeals faced by just a boy lacking love, the boy finds constant acceptance!.

Not sure if this kind of plot would turn out kinda corny, and if it is at all able to keep people reading!.

Please comment on how this plot is, if it could make a good plot, or any ways to make it a better plot!.

Thanks! Www@QuestionHome@Com

First of all I think it is a great plot!. It has so much room for detailed experiences as he grows up from a child to an adult, and succeeds in life with all the hardship that he experienced!.

It can be a very exciting book, if you add different relationships he has, who is mentors are, and how he despite all his pitfalls he ends up with a family of his own!.

It does not have to be geared to teenagers only, it depends how far you want to follow this child into adulthood, or even into a senior citizen!.

Good luck, it might not be a best seller, but try, and try, and you will succeed eventually!.

You might even try to start off slowly as a fictional story for The Readers Digest!.

Well I hope I gave you some good ideas to think about!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Slightly corny, but if written well, it could be something!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

this sounds like a plot to a lot of stories with rich kids who get turned down because of their wealth, but with a twist! !!! I would totally read this!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

good plot or story!.I think its good!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's good, but it depends on who your audience is!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It sounds like a great story!. I would definitely keep going with this!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think this would be a great idea for a story!. As a matter of fact, even if anyone doubts you or even if you doubt yourself, you should still start writing it and see what happens!.

Personally, I think it's really great that you want to write about this!. There certainly arn't many novels out there that deal with the thoughts and feelings of young men when thier family life crumbles and they just want somewhere to belong!. This could be really groundbreaking!. Keep writing! :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
