Question: Twilight Experts!.!.!. I need a little explaning help!!?!?
I was jus wondering what the pictures on the front cover of the books mean!. Thanks!!???Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
It means Bella's emo!.
Well, this is what Stephenie says:
For Twilight:
"The apple on the cover of Twilight represents "forbidden fruit!." I used the scripture from Genesis (located just after the table of contents) because I loved the phrase "the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil!." Isn't this exactly what Bella ends up with!? A working knowledge of what good is, and what evil is!. The nice thing about the apple is it has so many symbolic roots!. You've got the apple in Snow White, one bite and you're frozen forever in a state of not-quite-death!.!.!. Then you have Paris and the golden apple in Greek mythology—look how much trouble that started!. Apples are quite the versatile fruit!. In the end, I love the beautiful simplicity of the picture!. To me it says: choice!."
For New Moon:
"That is a ruffled tulip!. As for the meaning!.!.!. If you've read the Twilight FAQ, you know that the apple cover had a lot of meaning for me, and I was an active part of the covering process!. However, that experience is more the exception than the rule in the publishing world!. Something to keep in mind if you intend to embark on a career as a writer: lots of things you might expect to be under your control are not!. Covers, for example!. Those are mostly up to the publisher and the marketing and sales departments!. So I don't know what the tulip means—I didn't have anything to do with this one!."
I don't know where the thing for Eclipse is, and for Breaking Dawn it's:
"Breaking Dawn's cover is a metaphor for Bella's progression throughout the entire saga!. She began as the weakest (at least physically, when compared to vampires and werewolves) player on the board: the pawn!. She ended as the strongest: the queen!. In the end, it's Bella that brings about the win for the Cullens!."

But seriously!. We all know they mean Bella's emo!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

twilight- the apple means the forbidden fruit from the quote "the forbidden fruit taste the sweetest" which means the love between edward an bella

new moon- the flower is a dying tulip which means bella is dying because edward left her

eclipse- the ripped ribon means bella is torn between edward or jacob

breaking dawn- the pond in chess is the weakest player which is bella because bella was the weakest when she was human!. the queen in the front is th strongest player in chess and that was bella when she turned into a vampireWww@QuestionHome@Com

Twilight: the forbiden fruit!.!. its edwards hands holding the apple (bella)
New Moon: the flower represents bella and it shows that she is falling apart from the falling petal
Eclipse: The ribbon is bella again!.!. she is only being held together by two strings (one is edward and the other is jacob)
Breaking Dawn: The red pawn is bella in her human form and the white queen is bella in her vampire form :D hope that helps :DWww@QuestionHome@Com

Twilight:
The apple represents Edward's and Bella's forbidden relationship!. In the Bible, there is a tree with fruit that is forbidden but Eve goes on and eats it!. Hence, the whole forbidden thing!.
New Moon:
Stephenie Meyer had nothing to do with this, even she doesn't know!. LOL!. SORRY!.
Eclipse:
The ribbon represents Bella and the break in the ribbon represents how she has to decide between Edward, her love or Jacob, her best friend!.
Breaking Dawn:
The pawn represents Bella in her human form and the queen represents Bella in her Vampric form!. Shows the difference between strength, beauty, importance, ETC!.
