Out of your list I recommend To Kill a Mockingbird and Jane Eyre!. The others I either haven't gotten around to or don't consider them to be favorites!. I would also go with others who recommended Pride and Prejudice!. Bradbury and Vonnegut are also good!.
You might want to consider the length of some of these books on your list to eliminate whichever ones you don't want to read!. Amazon lists page numbers, so that could help you!. Reading--especially school reading--shouldn't be a chore, so whatever you choose, I hope you enjoy it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Princess Bride!? I don't know if that is considered a classic yet!? It was written a while ago, and it's really good!. I liked it better than the movie!! Gone With The Wind is a really really good one, and I really like Vanity Fair!. All Jane Austin books are amazing, you should read those too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

OMG classical novels!! you have quite a list here but let me add just a couple:
PRIDE AND PREJUDICE and WUTHERING HEIGHTS are two of the most romantic classical novels out there!.!.!.!.(Mr!. Darcy, HOT) haha,
Rebecca (another excellent romance novel), ummmm The Old Man and the Sea was good but sad, maybe a little boring for an 8th grader, A Midsummer's Night Dream, but I think your list covers the rest!.!.!.!.!.!.
All Creatures Great and Small is funny, Gone with the Wind is a must-read, So is the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings Triology, Jane Eyre was AMAZING (page-turner), Little women is another good one, I still have to read Lord of the flies, Of Mice and Men was really sad and so was the Pearl, Robinson Crusoe was a tad boring but you should still read it, Romeo and Juliet/West Side Story OBVIOUSLY, The three musketeers YES, To kill a Mockingbird HELL YES, Treasure Island I'm about to read (my mom told me it was a tad like Pirates of the Caribbean), and Watership down I didn't read but I did see the movie and it was also SAAAAD! hahaha
PLEAAASE read Pride & Prejudice and after you read the book see the BBC version of the movie NOT the Keira Knightly 2005 version!.!.!.!.
