The subordination of women in marriage; the importance of self-expression; the evils of the “Resting Cure” Which is what how they treated women with "problems" back then, by locking them in their room!. It is believed that she was suffering from post-partum depression, but her husband (doctor) locked her up in order for her to rest and heal, but he drove her mad instead!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
