Horror book...can someone help me find it?

Question: Thriller/Horror book!.!.!.can someone help me find it!?

Im looking for a book when a guy comes to a small town from the city!. And the town insnt what it seams!. The whole town is working to get rid of him in voilent ways, in long black robes (like a cult)!. Thats all i can remember but they where masquerade masks aswell!.

If you cant think of the the title can you suggest anything along these lines!?

I don't know about that one, but I recently read a book called "Showdown" by Ted Dekker, where a so-called preacher comes to a tiny town called Paradise, and when he arrives in his long black robes, the town is turned upside down and crazy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
