The Outsiders- has great themes, easy read, and interests most students
The Giver- a little bit more difficult but rather interesting, and allows students to explore their imagination
The Bread-Winner: amazing story-line, sad but informs students on war and terror in Afganistan
Hope these books help you, they were great and exceptional for eighth graders!Www@QuestionHome@Com

When I was in 8th grade i read "The Silent Boy" from Lois Lowry!.
I highly recommend it to you!. It is about a girl, Katy Thatcher, the daughter of a small-town physician whose heart is softened by a local boy with an undiagnosed mental condition!. It is a really good book!.I hope you like it (:
