I think he comes back into the story around chapter 20 but i am not sure!. Don't skip ahead!. That is what stephenie meyer didn't want readers do to!. Edward isn't want makes the book good, it is the writing and the writing is the whole book!!!

Very end! But don't go back and look for it!. You really need to read about Bella's time with Jacob!. It's major!. Don't skip it!.
It's a lot easier to enjoy the book if you just let the events fall into place as you read it from page one to the very end!.
