Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Passage, by Connie Willis!. I'm a huge Connie Willis fan, but I didn't like this book nearly as much as I liked her others!. It wasn't as funny as the rest, and it set out to tackle a huge question - what is death!. It started off very promisingly, but then the main character _died_ half way through with all sorts of loose ends still untied, and by the time the book was over, no question had really been answered!.

Harpo Speaks - Biography of Harpo Marx!. It very funny, and a fabulous portrait of the 1920s!.

Lolita, by Vladimir Nablokov!. It was an unbelievably beautiful novel, totally engrossing - possessing, one might say!. The topic was disturbing, but the language !.!.!. incredible!. A very thought provoking novel!.

Well, that includes a couple books in German, so I'll leave them out:

*Boy's Life by Robert McCammon (fiction)- There's no other way to say it, it was simply amazing! Just check out the ratings on amazon!. I'd say you should check it out :)

*The Whole Shebang: A State of the Universe(s) Report by Timothy Ferris (non-fiction)- A really good overview of astronomy's advance up to the 20th century!. It was written in 1997 though, so there are a few things that are out dated, such as the idea that the universe will eventually stop expanding, and begin to contract; recent findings tell us that the rate of expansion is actually increasing!. But a wonderful book nonetheless!

*The Varieties of Scientific Experience by Carl Sagan (non-fiction) - A compilation of writings taken from the lecture/speech!. His view on the search for "God"!. I liked it!.

I'm 19, by the way!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

My age!? I can tell you that I'm old enough to know that variables are numbers too, just in a sort of hidden way!. also, I can say truthfully that they;'re a pain!.

Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident
Maximum Ride: The final experiment
Flowers in the Attic

Artemis Fowl was fantastic!. It chronicles the life of a genius that instead of being the wishy washy hero, he's a criminal mastermind!. It is also a part fantasy book, at which point I would tell you more but I don't want to spoil it!.

Maximum Ride is an extremely awesome book series!. I personally detested the fourth book, but that's just my opinion!. This series tells the lives of avian americans who have their lives jumbled up and such!.

Flowers in the Attic can have no words to describe it!. It was just, wow!. I am so afraid of saying anything due to the fear of not describing the book to its full potential, so you must read it!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

James Lee Burke's "Jolie Blon's Bounce" [mystery/thriller]

S!. & J!. Weatherton's "Blood Prophecy" [fantasy/thriller]
