Question: (Twilight question)Why are vampires pale!?

Is is because they are made that when they become vampires or because they don't go into the sunlight, and therefore aren't tan!? I'm guessing the made that way, but I thought I'd ask!. also, how does that work for people are are black!? I mean, I know that Laurent in the movie is, but wouldn't he pale!? I'm confused!.!.!.

Well vampires are pale because they have no blood running through their bodies!. Blood gives your skin a certain color like edward always saying to bella i'm going to miss the way you blush!. Bella blushed because of the blood running threw her body *spoiler* IF you have not read breaking Dawn do NOT read this - When bella becomes a vampire she no longer has blood inside her sothat'ss why she doesn't blush anymore!. -

For your second question Laurent probably isn't pale because his skin is all ready a dark color and it has nothing to do with the blood in your body!. White can be a translucent color but black is not translucent at all!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, they don't have blood in their system, just venom, so they're impossibly pale!. For African-Americans, I thought that they would, like, become pale!. I don't like how Laurent looks in the movie!. Don't get me wrong, I don't care if he's black or whatev, it's just not how I imagined him!. Idk, my friend Whitney agrees with me, and she's black so I'm not being racist I don't think!.

EDIT For the tanning thing, I just remembered that SM said somethin' about them being frozen in their current physical state, so I don't think they could tan, even if they went in the sun!. Lol!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think that Laurent isn't pale because his skin is naturally dark, so the pigment in the skin won't change even though he doesn't go in the sun!. So he was naturally a darker shade of skin!.!.!.so the amount of melanin doesn't change!.

They're pale because there is no blood running through their veins and technically they are dead(no pulse, breathing not necessary)!.

And in the book Laurent is pale too, just not in the movie, I guess they just didn't want to make it look fake by putting white makeup on him!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
