It's not a "when" it's a "where"!. It's on another world so the "when" doesn't really matter!. Eragon is a fantasy book, so you really don't need a frame of reference to a real time period!. The middle ages is a similar time period to the general technological age of the Eragon setting (ignoring magic of course)Www@QuestionHome@Com
