Question: The Dark Tower II: The Drawing of the Three questions (spoilers maybe)!?
I never read The Gunslinger!. I know I probably should have since it's the first book, but I honestly had no trouble starting with the second!. I do have questions though!.
Why did Balizar meet Eddie in a pizza car!? Did it ever explain how he kidnapped Henry or how he died (was it from the Viet Nam experiences)!?
Why wasn't Roland hooked on the cocaine that much!?
Why was Andrew, Odetta's pal, calling JFK a gunslinger!?
What ever happened to Jake, the young boy Jack Mort was tempted to push!?
Is Walter also Jack Mort who is the man in black!? How did Roland get his jawbone!?

The first book in the Series won't answer your questions except the jawbone one!. It was probably the hardest book I've ever read as it didn't make much sense through most of it!. Roland wakes up with the jawbone after talking all night with Walter!. I think a lot of time passed in that meeting - it's at the end of the first book and the most important part of that whole book!.
You will hear more about Jake in future books!.
In the next books I think there is more about Eddie and Henry's story!.
