Question: I bought a text book on half!.com but it was the instructors edition!?
Well here's the full problem!. Back in January 08 I bought an algebra textbook and when I received it it had black tape covering the top and back a little bit!. In the description they didn't mention the tape!. I left the tape on because i thought it was ripped or something but when school ended and i wanted to sell the book i took the tape off and noticed it was an instructors edition!. I contacted the seller and they didn't respond and now I can't sell it because it's illegal to sell instructor books and also under the bar code it says NOT FOR SALE!. So what should I do!?!? the book was for $100!!

-Please and thank youWww@QuestionHome@Com

Hmmm!. This is a good question!. Personally, I've bought almost all my books throughout the years on half!.com and I've seen many instructor's editions on there for sale!. I didn't know it was illegal honestly, because it seems like most are quite open about it!. Do you know anyone taking the class next semester or have a way to find out!? You prolly won't be able to get the full $100 back, but you could always sell it to someone not through online who's taking the class for a little cheaper!. Instructor's editions have some beneficial parts and probably wouldn't be that hard to sell, even though youre not supposed to!. I don't really think you're going to find a way to get your money back from the seller, unless you had the time and money to try that at a small claim's court!. If you don't want to sell it since it's illegal, then you're just unfortunately going to have to count your losses!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's too late to do anything with it!. If you have already used it, I would either resell it back on half!.com the same way the original seller did, but thats sketchy, or just have someone buy it off you manually!. It's not illegal to use instructors books, especially if your in college!. They are helpful!. You I would sell it to someone else taking the class and tell them its the instructors edition, tell them there are no refunds, and let that be it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
