Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: The His Dark Materials Series; This is a Trilogy based off of Paradise Lost!. It is like the modern version of the epic!. The series incorporates a lot of debate about science and religion and questions the reader a lot about the purpose and motivation of man!. It is written from the view point of various people/creators and had me so anxious to keep reading!. They are my favorite books and have completely changed me!. It's long, but its sooooo worth it!. And it has a bunch of little stories in one, that all come together!. So clever!. It's adventure, fantasy and romance together!. It's called "Winter's Tale" by Mark Helprin!. If you read it let me know what you think!.
