Question: Character flaws please!?
Can someone help me think of some character flaws!? Nothing too over-used (I don't want her to be clumsy, like Bella, or too boyish, Holly Short!?)!.

She's the daughter of a commodore in the mid-1800s!. To put it short, she becomes a pirate!. I want to make her femenine and an average fighter!. She's more of a brain than brawn, and I want to make her either play the guitar or speak French, as she can afford to do these things as the commodore's daughter!? Maybe other's don't approve of the guitar!?

I thought about making her a bit scheming!. Oh, and she's average looking!.

I need some subtle flaws!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You can't really force flaws upon your character!. You just have to develop them and let the flaws come to you!. If you force the flaws, your character will quite frankly end up looking cliche and contrived!. Just let it come naturally!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

if she's not perfect at everything and isn't "amazingly omg goodlooking" like everyone in the shitty twilight books then your characters rock and aren't cliched!

congrats!

To test if your character is a mary sue just google "mary sue litmus test" and take it to find out!.

Anyways your story sounds cool =]Www@QuestionHome@Com
