terry pratchett for fantasy fiction
ian m banks for sci-fi
the dark materials trilogy - fantastic!
val mcdermid for crime - also john connolly and lee child
Patricia cornwell for crime and forensics
lord of the rings and all the sherlock holmes books - everyone must read these
ian rankin - fantastic scottish author for crime

I will never not refer this book to someone!. It's a perfect kind of story, all kinds of madness and romance and good vs evil going on!. Sensational, ridiculous, and completely bananas at moments!.!.!.

I would say It by Stephen King!.Once you have read it you will want to read more of his stories!.It is really a very scary book and made me sleep with the lights on for a few nights!.It helps if you are very scared to put it in the freezer!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
