I’m Exploding Now
A story of excitement and not knowing what is going to happen next is what many people like to read!. If you are one of those people, you may want to read a book called “I’m Exploding Now!.”
Max Whooten is sixteen years old and lives on the Upper West side of New York City!. He has always been on top of his game!. People loved him because he is funny and very popular!. Lately, though, he has been off of his game!. People can see this in others a mile away is what Max says because everybody avoids him!.
Cory has recently informed Max that he is invited to Athena’s party at her house!. Cory is Max’s sister, and she will be fifteen years old at the end of July!. Max has always like Athena and is very excited to go to her party!. Athena is fifteen, but she looks seventeen!.
At Athena’s party Max ran into Otto!. Otto is a stranger to Max!. Max has never met Otto before, so he thought he would be polite and say hello to him and talk for a while!. Otto asked Max what he is doing this summer!. Max said,” Nothing, so I guess you could say that I’m retired!.” Then Otto said,” You’re retired from nothing!?” Max thought he was a jerk for saying that, so he punched him and threw him in Athena’s pool!. Max was embarrassed because everybody was staring at him, so he left the party along with Cory!. From then on, Cory ignored him because she was ashamed that he would do that to somebody he just met!.
Leila Kazilonif is Max’s best friend!. Max thinks that she is very pretty and he kind of likes her, but he thinks it would be really weird to have her as a girlfriend since they have been friend their whole lives!. Leila and Max thought that they would go to Trevor’s house and ask him if he would like to be friends with them!. Nobody can explain Trevor!. Nobody would be surprised if when he opens the door at his house, he would have a lampshade on his head and call it a hat!. Not to their surprise, Trevor opened the door and greeted them in a different language and said that he is now switching over to Buddhism!. He now only eats one grain of rice a day and meditates and studies the Buddhist religion!.
A few days after Athena’s party, Max was in his room!. He heard Crappy in the hall hacking on a hairball!. Crappy is Cory and Max’s cat that is named Mozart!. Max nicknamed him Crappy because he craps everywhere but the litter box!. Cory was in the hallway to see Crappy first!. That is when Cory finally spoke to Max!. They then made up!.
It was a long time when Max’s mom called him into the kitchen and had both good and bad news!. The good news is that they found that Crappy actually used the litter box for the first time in his life!. But the bad news is that Crappy was lying there, dead!. “Poor thing,” Mom said,” He must have known that the litter box was deadly the whole time!.” But they never really found why he died!.
Aunt Ginny is Max’s aunt!. To be more specific, she is Dad’s sister!. She lives near Woodstock, New York!. She offered to take Max with her to bury Crappy somewhere near her house!. Since he was already with Aunt Ginny, they figured that Max could just stay at her house for a while!. Aunt Ginny is a poet!. She is going to a poetry convention at a theater to read some of her poetry along with people all over the country!. Max isn’t too excited about having to go to it, but Aunt Ginny is forcing him to go because she thinks it will be good for him!.
To waste time at the convention, Max goes to the bathroom!. On his way there, he sees this girl staring at him!. He can’t take his eyes off of her, but she acts like she turns her head towards the poet on stage, but Max saw that her eyes were on him!. When he came out of the bathroom, the girl was looking at him, but turns her head really fast!. Max prayed that he would see her again because she was one of the prettiest girls he has ever seen!. (Of course, the other two girls were Athena and Leila!.)
Finally, Aunt Ginny and Max are back home from the poetry readings!. Max has to sleep in the screened - in porch tonight!. Since he lives in the city, it was strangely quite outside!. Well, besides the nearby crickets and frogs chirping!. He eventually fell asleep, though!.
When he woke up the next morning, he was covered in mosquito bites!. Aunt Ginny took Max up to the Green Park while she did her errands!. He sat on the bench to wait and read a book when a girl walked up to him and asked if she could sit with him!. It wasn’t until he looked up from his book that he noticed that it was the girl, the girl that he saw at the convention!. They started talking and he found that her name is Zini!. Zini is short and has very curly, brunette hair!. Zini is her name that everybody calls her that because her friends used to call her “Teeny Zini” just because it rhymes!. She is also an artist and can draw realistic things that make it look like she is taking a real picture of what she is drawing!.
Zini and Max both meet all of the time at a river and talk all niWww@QuestionHome@Com
