Question: Can someone please recomend me a book for my 10th grade honors english!.!.!.!.!.!.classic or not!.!.!.thnx!?
So i need a book or books for my 10th grade honors english independant reading it does not necessarily have to be a classic, i need 500 pages total but it does not all have to be one book i can read two little ones or something!.!.!.!.!.but anyway i need some recomendations some of my favorite books are the catcher in the rye by JD Salinger, As i lay dying by william faulkner Jane Eyre by charlotte bronte and wuthering heights by emily bronte!.!.!.!.!.any suggestions would be great and a brief description even better! thanks and i will chose best answer!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Loved it!. You will probably nedd another short book but it was fantastic!. He is a British aristocrat who saves French aristocrats from the Guillotine!. He and his wife don't see eye to eye and by the end they are in love!.
The Awakening!. New Orleans in the early 1900s!. She ends up committing suicide!.

Any of those that you have listed would be excellent!. Look harder at what the teacher is suggesting!. If you have to be able to write on these books or what!. You want something that is well written but not too complicated!. You might want to try Charles Dickens, any of his might meet the criteria!. When I was in college I read I KNOW WHY THE CAGED BIRD SINGS by Maya Angelou, I would say it is about a young black girls loss of innocence and the reality of how she deals with everything around her!. Her rape, becoming mute, distorted body image, and guilt when the man who rapes her dies, All in all a great book!. There is also CHINA BOY by Gus Lee, a semi biographical story of a coming to terms with being left to deal with a stepmother when his doting mother dies!. He learns to fight or be beaten by those outside his household, eating new foods and his love of boxing!. Harshly realistic bringing me to tears often!. I really enjoyed this book and got to meet the author who teaches at the University of Davis in Northern California!. My last is MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA by Arthur Golden written as a biography but in reality is fiction!. The book for out surpasses the movie!. You will learn almost all there is to becoming a geisha all the training that goes into becoming an artist known as a geisha!.
