I love Richard Price!. I haven't read his last couple titles, but I surely will!. I think Clockers is one of the finest novels in the last twenty years!. It rose immediately to the top ranks of my favorites!. Strike's character is just one of the many things that blows me away about it!. I'm always forcing it on people!. Freedomland is another favorite!. I'm constantly amazed by the things he manages to pull off!. He is never predictable, and he consistently makes perfect sense!. Unlike many authors he is a genius with both plot and characterization and his observational powers are as truly beautiful as his descriptions!. All his old stuff is good too, by the way, though his scope has broadened considerably through the years!.

As a side note, you might also enjoy Dennis Lehane and George P!. Pelecanos, both of whom are geniuses!. All three of them have also written for the TV series The Wire!.

Thanks for reminding me that it's about time for me to catch up with Price's latest work, and for mentioning a great author, just because you like him!. It was truly refreshing to find this question!. Happy reading! You can't go wrong with Price!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'd never heard of him A, but I've just had a little mooch on google and he sounds right up my street!

So I shall go and seek ( will try Library first but don't hold out much hope it's run by a team of cut throat Grey Panthers who save all the good books for their mates!)

Have you read Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides!? The blurb about Richard Price reminded me of this book!. It was a great read and really evocative !.http://www!.curledup!.com/middlesx!.htm
