Hmm, Norman Mailer's writing style is difficult to explain!. He was part of a whole new journalistic movement that combined political commentary with actual incidents in the form of a story!. He was (along with Truman Capote, Hunter S Thompson and Tom Wolfe among others) a forerunner of the non-fiction novel style, also referred to as New Journalism!.

I'd recommend his book 'Tough Guys Don't Dance'- it's one of my favourites!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well basically, the appeal of this man was not only specific stories but that he dabbled in several different kinds of writing!. To get a basic knowledge of him (and I mean basic) because he is a very in depth individual, I attached the wikipedia link!.

He was very political and always seemed to be involved in the world in some way!. He covered political conventions and penned screenplays!.

His notariety is also attached to pop culture (i!.e!. his appearance on Gossip Girl)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
