Question: Who is the best fictional couple!?
If you say Bella and Edward there better be a well explained answer why! :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Cathy and Heathcliff!. (Wuthering Heights)

Completely, utterly f**ked up, flawed, selfish people, but somehow, they have this huge, beautiful, all-consuming love!.

Of course, Catherine and Hareton (same book) are completely adorable!. If Cathy and Heathcliff are proof that you don't need to be perfect to be loved, then Catherine and Hareton are proof that being nice helps you be happy in love!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Bella and Edward does come to mind because they are both so in love and even though they've gone through a lot, they manage to still stay together and keep their love strong!.
However, I would say that the best fictional couple to me would be Elizabeth and Mr!. Darcy!. They share a passion and they both challenge each other intellectually!. Although they manage to infuriate one another, behind that, they realize that they have learned to love one another and find the good aspects in each other!. They're perfect for each other!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you're referring to all fiction, I'm a huge fan of Ned and Chuck from Pushing Daisies!. It takes a pretty huge amount of love to make your relationship work if you're not able to touch each other!. I'm also a big Doctor/Rose (from Doctor Who) and Chloe/Jimmy (from Smallville) shipper!.

Book-wise, though, perhaps Arwen and Aragorn from The Lord of the Rings!.

Did all the people who said Edward and Bella but refused to give a reason do so because they aren't actually able to come up with one!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

~Debbie Benton and Mr!. Greenfeld, by a head with Theolonias and Adrianus coming in the rear!.

For a truly healthy relationship, I'd go with either Henry and Eleanor Plantagenet (not fictional, but as dramatized in "A Lion in Winter") or Martha and George from "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf!?"!. A close second would be Oliver and Barbara Rose, not to be mistaken with those sickos, Oliver Barrett IV and Jennifer Cavalleri (yech)!. Arnie Cunningham and Christine had something kind of special and supercharged too!. I used to think Ward and June Cleaver were pretty cool until I realized that Ward was abusive to his women!. I mean, when June said on national TV "Ward, you were pretty rough on the Beaver last night" that did it for him in my book!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Niccolo Vander Poele and Katelina Van Borselen!. One of my favorite couples in Dorthy Dunnett's "House of Niccolo" series!. (I'm currently on the 4th one)

In the 1400s: He gets her pregnant and she marries his estranged stepfather to cover up her pregnancy (don't worry, he's not old and crusty)!. She hates Niccolo because she thinks he did it on purpose to get back at his father, but she realizes years later that he didn't (after he saves her life) and they are allowed one last rendezvous before!.!.!.

Him: lowly apprentice who works his way up in the trade market, and eventually does quite well for himself
Her: rich as cream from birth

I absolutely love this series!. It's about a lot more than these two's escapades though!. = )Www@QuestionHome@Com

I really love Allie and Noah in the Notebook!.
I just love how he stays with her even though she can't remember him just in hope that she will return to him if only for a couple of seconds!.
I couldn't do that!. It's just so romantic that he would dedicate the rest of his life to trying to remind her of him and what they had!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

David Kesselring & Elsa Van Helzing

They're shape-shifters, they're totally cool, and they're crazy about each other!. What more could a guy ask for than a hot, well-connected chick who truly cares for him as much as he loves her!?

You can see these two skin-changers kick some serious tail in S!. & J!. Weatherton's "Blood Prophecy!."Www@QuestionHome@Com

Scully and Molder are awesome, ya!. One of the best things about them (Ignore the new movie) was that you knew that loved and respected eachother, but it never had to become a physical thing!. They were in love in the most "intellectual" way!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
