Ok, calm down =) I'm here to help!.

First, focus on what plot you want to develop!. Picture the main events in the story in your head!. Now, ask yourself: where do I need to start to lead up to these events effectively!?

Or!.!.!.

Picture your main character!. Now, what is he/she doing!? What does he/she look like!? Who is he/she with!? Can you see where they are!? What are they talking about!? Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, first of all pull up a blank Word document or grab yourself a pen and some paper!. Whatever method works best for you, just do it!.

Think of some characters- don't bother with what they look like or what their eye color is or if they like sushi more than pasta!. These are unimportant details that will come together by themselves!. And really, I don't care if they like alfredo more than tomato sauce at this stage!. Think of who they are and what they are!. Think of their motives to do something and what their limit is!. How far would they go!? This is what really makes up a character!. Don't spend agonizing hours searching for names on babynames!.com! Get a decent name and you're fine!.

Now, do what I like to call People Study!. Study how people interact with each other!. Watch how they convey emotions!. Do they use gestures when they speak!? Watch your biology teacher, watch your best friend, watch that random person walking out of a store on their cellphone!. Study people!. You can do this while writing as well, so don't use it as an excuse to put off writing!.

Read!. Read, read, and read some more!. You have no idea what kinds of valuable information you can get out of reading! Usually, if I read a fact in a novel, I'll remember it better than when my teacher does a whole explanation on it!. In fact, when I was younger, I read a book and found out that 7x7= 49!. Even though we studied our times tables countless times, what's my best-learned one!? 7x7!. All you have to do is read!. Reading the Private series by Kate Brian was an amazing experience for me!. It has well-developed characters and I was hooked on it my the amount of suspense!. The best way way to learn how to write is to read!.

Good luck! xD

To start with, just pick a plot that you really like!. If you're not sure which storyline to use, just pick one!. Remember, you can always go back and write the other ones some other time!. Then, just take a shot at it!. Write as well as you know how to, and for as long as you can stand!. It may turn out shorter than you expected, and that's fine!. (Short stories are awesome too!) When you're done, you can look up a publisher or a magazine to publish your story, and having an agent might help!. I would recommend writersdigest!.com!. It's your book, you can choose!.

On mine, I did character study, you know creating the character and the main plot!.

You should write a children's book kind of about a personal experience but not to much!. Make it about something you like and it will be a lot easierWww@QuestionHome@Com
