Question: TWILIGHT SERIES!.!.!.THEME!?
okay!. what is the theme of the twilight series!? at first i thought that it was sacrificing for your loved ones, but Breaking Dawn proved this wrong because bella sacrifices NOTHING! and "love" isn't technically a theme because a theme digs deeper into the story than just "love"!. so please don't say that the theme is love because my head will explode!. that is what everyone says and I would love a better explanation as to what the whole point of the series is!. So many crazed fans call this book a "classic," but what life stories does this book really teach us!? I'll admit that the series was a fun read but that's all i can say about it!. I just don't get the point and it bugs me that these books are being compared to those of great authors such as Tolkien and Austin, and even SHAKESPEARE! Www@QuestionHome@Com

People are now calling it a "classic"!? This deserves a "priceless" tag of some sort!. The book has no quality in terms of writing, the book is not presenting any sort of criticism or sending a message or is even a reflection of current society in general!. Who is calling this a "classic"!?

This book is the flavor du jour and it will be replaced by the next YA romance that manages to catch the attention of the young readers of the corresponding generation!. That's it!. The writer of the story didn't even go beyond treating this as her very own personal fantasy (yes, she IS Bella)!.

The book lacks quality in terms of writing, and lacks depth!. There are, literally, hundreds if not thousands of better written romances out there!. Give me a break!.

This author's only accomplishment was her ability to tell a story that people could get lost in, that's it!.!.!. and that is something that a lot worthier authors than herself have done through the centuries!. But popularity does not a classic make!.

Gimme a break!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Twilight series is very entertaining and the reason it is so popular is the plot and the tone of the story, slightly depressed!.

As for a theme!?

Don't get me wrong, I love the books, but there really isnt one!. It's not a "classic", its the literary equivalent of a Big Mac and fries!.!.!.but I happen to like those!.

Oh, and it is true Bella doesn't sacrifice anything, she is well prepared to if she has to!.

She almost died for the baby and got plans to give her to Jacob if she died!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There are no themes!. SMeyer said there are no themes!. Thus why I don't find it to be a classic at all!. I mean, classics make the reader think over some life-altering topic or at least ask questions that keep people thinking!. Twilight doesn't do any of that, sorry!.

In other words, I agree with you completely!. It is in no way a classic, but it was a fun read!. That's about it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The theme is literary tragedy!. There is no real conflict therefore no resolution!. There is no loss therefore no real appreciation!. There is no plot therefore no good story!. Its a published fan fiction and certainly not a classic!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Twilight series is full of crap!. There are no theme's and it teachs nothing (like you said)!. Its basically about an unhealthy relationship between Bella and Edward who is an abusive and over protective freak!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

huh!. I swear i already answered this question!.

well i will repeat it then!.

I have a theme for you!.

DON'T FALL IN LOVE WITH YOUR BEST FRIEND WHEN YOU HAVE THE BEST GUY ON THIS PLANET!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Breaking Dawn is gross!. I don't like it, it's sick!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

there could be all sorts of themes for twilight!.!.!.
!.,!.!.like "adventure" for instance!.!.!.and "drama"Www@QuestionHome@Com

The theme is Bella vs!. Herself!. This theme is the classic example of internal turmoil!. Bella was at conflict with herself, with her ideals, thoughts, and memories of her past actions!. Throughout the whole series she was torn between what she felt in her heart and what would be better for her!.

The book is a classic!. I am an avid reader and the love story between Edward and Bella was so exciting!. Just because it is also a teen phenom does not mean it is less than Shakepeare!. Stephanie Meyer did an excellent job of combining the love, mythology, fantasy, and adventure, and action genres all into one book!. I dont remember Shakepeare ever going above and beyond a typical genre!. Meyer took a risk and succeeded!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
